Welcome to the CUNY Prosody Laboratory! Together with the Motor Speech Laboratory, our lab features facilities for collecting speech production and perception data for the purposes of linguistic and psycholinguistic research. Most of the work in our lab focuses on how prosody and intonation are (a) structured in human languages, and (b) processed by language users.
The lab is located in room 216 of Building 2S on the campus of the College of Staten Island. Questions regarding the lab should be directed to Jason Bishop.
ETAP-4 announced! Taking place at UMASS and co-organized with Mount Holyoke College. Abstracts due in April.
Bishop to give invited talk at Prominence in Language, being held at the University of Cologne in July.
Lab member Boram Kim to present with Doug Whalen & Mark Tiede at Ultrafest VIII next week.
The name of the lab has changed! We are now the CUNY Prosody Lab; the "CSI-CUNY Speech Laboratory" now refers to both our lab and Christina Hagedorn's new Motor Speech Lab.
